This system's rails, luminaires and connectors only fit each other — parts of other systems will not fit.

48V Magnetic System 5MM runs on 48V DC. The rail carries the power, and luminaires clip anywhere along it and can be moved later without rewiring. That is low voltage, so the system needs a driver rated above the total wattage of the luminaires. Rails come in fixed lengths (100 cm–300 cm), and a longer segment is made of several joined together. Mounting: surface and pendant.

  1. 1 A rail for the length Segments join up to the length you need
  2. 2 Luminaires on the rail How many and which — by the area to light
  3. 3 Power and connectors for the shape Chosen by luminaire load and rail shape

What a complete system needs

  • rail — as many metres as the line is long
  • luminaires — as much light as the room needs
  • joints where the line turns or branches
  • a driver and a feed

Frequently asked questions

What voltage is this system, and does it need a driver?

The system runs on 48V DC, so it will not work without a driver. The driver is sized from the total wattage of the luminaires with headroom — the configurator works that out for you.

How is this system mounted?

Its rails mount as follows: surface and pendant. You choose the mounting in the configurator, and both the rails and the accessories follow from it.

What lengths do this system's rails come in?

Rails come in fixed lengths: 100 cm–300 cm. A longer line is made of several rails joined with straight couplers, so the final length may come out slightly longer than planned.

Will luminaires from another system fit?

No. This system's rail profile and contacts are its own, so a luminaire from another system will not physically fit. Every part of it sits on this page — rails, luminaires, joints and power.

How do I work out which parts I need?

In the configurator you give the mounting and the shape segment by segment and add luminaires — the rails, joints, end caps and power are worked out for you, and the quantities stay editable before the cart.
